ABOUT the Institute

1901 - Foundation

The idea of starting this Training Centre is to impart fruitful and gainful self-employable training to the youth, so as to enable them to set themselves trained for skilled jobs and gainful employment to fulfil the present demands of the Industries. This Training Centre was started functioning from 24th September’1984, in a building at Pillaiyar Koil Street, New Town, with a small strength of 36 boys in Electrician and Mechanic Motor Vehicle trades. In 1985 Fitter trade was started. In 1993 the Training Centre was shifted to a new building at Bye-Pass Road, New Town, Vaniyambadi. Two more trades namely Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic and Electronics Mechanic were introduced from August’1996.


Now it is functioning at Alangayam Road beside Malang Hostel from November’2001, which was earlier known as New Block Hostel. At present we have following five trades which are permanently affiliated to National Council for Vocational Trades, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

VME SOCIETY

1901 - Foundation

The Vaniyambadi Muslim Educational Society is the pioneer in the field of education in this part of the country. The great vision and the spirit of service of the noble minds,farsighted founders of the society, dedicated to promote Social Welfare through education, continue to inspire the office bearers and members of the Vaniyambadi Muslim Educational Society.


Vaniyambadi Muslim Educational Society which was founded in the year 1901 started the following Institutions.

o Islamiah Elementary School in 1903
o Islamiah Boy's Higher Secondary School in 1912
o Islamiah College (Autonomous) in 1919
o Islamiah Girls' Higher Secondary School in 1957
o Islamiah Industrial Training Institute in 1984
o Islamiah Women's Arts and Science College in 1997
o Islamiah Skill Development Centre in 2019
Altogether about 12000 students are being benefited by these Institutions every year. Due to the extensive industrialization and consequent demand for skilled manpower at home and abroad, a frame work for established Islamiah Institute of Technical Education was laid in 1984. As a first step in this direction, Islamiah Industrial Training Institute started functioning from September’1984. At present it has five trades.

ITI COMMITTEE

This Committee comprises of fifteen members including Principal as ex-officio member, is elected by the Executive committee of the Vaniyambadi Muslim Educational Society once in three years. The Secretary of the ITI Committee is elected by the General Body. This Committee has the powers to Appoint both Teaching and Non-Teaching staff, Disciplinary action against the members of the staff, dismissal etc.  It has the responsibility to initiate action against any violation of the Code of Conduct by any Staff. The maintenance of discipline in the Institute Campus, providing conducive atmosphere for educational development, ensuring the observance of all rules and regulations of the Government and providing infrastructural facilities are the main functions of the ITI Committee.

ALL INDIA TRADE TEST

Refrigeration and AC Technician

Overview

The Refrigeration and AC Technician program at our Industrial Training Institute (ITI) is a comprehensive 2-year course designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems. This program combines theoretical education with practical hands-on training, preparing students for a successful career in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) industry.
